Job Description

As the Therapeutic Area Lead, you are the scientific expert responsible for discussing the Company products, patients’ treatment trends and studies in the therapeutic areas in which the Company is involved. You will shape the quality use of the Company products through clinically relevant and scientifically robust interactions with leading specialists as a trusted scientific partner and support the Country Medical Head in developing medical strategy and implementing country medical affairs activities in respective therapeutic areas.

Responsibilities

• Proactively seek updates of medical and scientific knowledge and healthcare environment, proactively drive actionable insights and shape patient care.
• Develop and strengthen a contact network with key opinion leaders or leading specialists and communicate actively and reactively medical scientific data (including responding to medical information inquiries)
• Gain valuable insight through scientific interactions into treatment patterns, and scientific activities in the portfolio, franchise or therapeutic area and shape company Medical Affairs Plan / business decision-making.
• Champion medical benefits of products and contribute to foster innovative therapeutic approaches to benefit patients through scientific interactions with leading specialists.
• Lead the implementation and project management of wide range of medical activities in the respective therapeutic area (including medical education, advisory board meetings, etc.)
• Proactively shape scientific support to company cross-functional colleagues such as training and scientific communication with leading specialists.

Job Qualifications

• Medicine, pharmacy or life science degree (medical doctor is preferred)
• At least 5 years of working experience in the relevant sector/ industry (medical affairs role in pharmaceutical industry is preferred).
• Good knowledge of the therapeutic area with strong scientific acumen and communication skills.
• Experience with complex business environments or multiple therapeutic areas responsibility is preferred.
