Technical Services Manager
Reports to: Director of Maintenance & Engineering
Responsibilities:
As the Technical Services Manager at AirAsia, you will be at the forefront of ensuring efficient technical support for our aircraft maintenance operation. Your primary objective will be to manage the Technical Services Department, ensuring compliance with company and DGCA requirements while achieving cost-effective and timely outcomes.
Specific Functions:
a. Conduct comprehensive technical evaluations of Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and other airworthiness requirements, ensuring their prompt scheduling.
b. Foster productive consultations and collaborations with manufacturers and external entities, addressing maintenance operation-related matters.
c. Drive the development and implementation of approved data for aircraft modifications, incorporating manufacturer/vendor directives.
d. Provide crucial maintenance-approved data for the seamless development of the Aircraft Maintenance Program.
e. Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of the Maintenance Reliability Program and Engine Condition Monitoring, while presiding as the maintenance review board chairman.
f. Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend enhancements to optimize aircraft maintenance, focusing on time intervals and limiting escalation.
g. Effectively monitor and strategically schedule the implementation of Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and other airworthiness requirements across our aircraft and components.
h. Uphold a well-organized Technical Publication Section and Library, ensuring meticulous control, authorization, safekeeping, and revision of Technical Publications, Engineering Forms, Aircraft Manuals, and other technical documents, aligning with Aviation Authority regulations.
i. Identify training needs and provide comprehensive skill-building opportunities for subordinates, liaising with the quality assurance department to deliver impactful training programs.
j. Drive the development and continuous updates of comprehensive maintenance programs for the AirAsia fleet, meticulously aligning with regulatory mandates, manufacturer requirements, and our company’s specific needs.
k. Having exposure to Technical Analysis from Aircraft Inductions.
Qualifications:
a. Hold a minimum degree in aviation or a relevant engineering discipline, or possess an AMEL License.
b. Demonstrate at least five (5) years of experience in the technical services aviation industry, with a minimum of three (3) years in a supervisory capacity.
c. Exhibit excellent command of both written and oral English, effectively communicating technical information.
d. Display willingness to travel and be based in Tangerang, embracing new opportunities and challenges.
