We are a new school named Saint Johannes Berchmans located in PIK 2. We’ll be effectively running next academic year for our first batch. And this year we are so excited to meet our potential candidates who are professionals in education to join us in this journey. We currently open for many positions available and if you are interested with the opportunity, feel free to apply and send us your resume.

We open for Preschool to Senior High Teacher position and for Art subject.

Responsibilities

• Planning appropriate lessons to meet national and international curriculum guidelines, keeping up to date with changes.
• Creating engaging lessons to involve pupils of all abilities, coordinating with colleagues and TAs where needed.
• Setting up the classroom, organizing displays and equipment.
• Using a mix of resources to enhance the pupil’s exploration of the topic.
• Using different teaching methods, including whole class, group work, independent research, demonstrations, experiments and play, to motivate and encourage interaction in the class.
• Encouraging children to work together to achieve goals.
• Providing help and support to individual pupils as required, taking responsibility for their academic progress.
• Carrying out assessments and setting homework.
• Completing administrative work. E.g., taking registers, updating records, marking work and writing reports.
• Creating a learning environment that pupils respect.
• Setting expectations for discipline and behaviour, including dealing with inappropriate behaviour according to school policy.
• Providing a safe, healthy environment, and following safeguarding procedures.
• Organising outings, after school clubs, social activities and sports events.
• Participating in training and development activities.
• Attending meetings and parent’s evenings.
• Liaising with senior leadership, parents and external bodies in relation to progress, behaviour, child protection and health.

Requirements

• At least have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
• Have experience in teaching Art minimum 3 years in SPK school or international school in other countries for any level.
• Fluent in English is a MUST without local accent except for teachers from English speaking countries.
• Familiar with international curriculum (Cambridge, IB, or other) is a MUST.
• Ability to communicate with and inspire children.
• Dedicated interest in children’s education and creating the best learning environment.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting child welfare.
• Ability to work well with others.

• Patience.
• Positive outlook.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
• Good organizational and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of various teaching methods.

• Willing to be placed in PIK 2, North Jakarta.
• Can join this year or next academic year (2023/2024).
