Based in South East Jakarta, you’ll take the wheel in leading a talented of sales executive in merchant acquisition initiatives for our payment acceptance (Gopay) and point of sales system (Moka) for the region. What You Will Do
- Lead, guide and mentor team members, empowering them to enhance their acquisition skills so that they can offer solutions that address our merchant-partners’ pain points
- Collaborate with District Sales Manager to plan and execute sales strategies and account management
- Monitor and deliver targets with the use of CRM, Google Sheets and Data Studio
- Support team member in negotiating and answering difficult questions from potential customers
What You Will Need
- At least 2 years of experience in sales leadership
- Strong experience in merchant acquisition
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills in order to achieve the merchant acquisition targets, and to collaborate with partners and colleagues of all levels
- Strong leadership experience in order to lead, mentor, and grow a high-functioning team
- Good proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
- Prior experience working at a startup or tech company is a plus
About The Team
In the Offline Merchants team, we consistently strive to implement solutions that allow our merchant partners in Indonesia (and the greater Southeast Asian region) to sell their products both online and offline. We also work to improve the merchant-partner experience through product innovation and integration with the rest of the Gojek ecosystem.
The Jabodetabek Sales team, part of the larger Commerce Enablement stream, currently comprises 4 Account Managers and 10 Sales Executives. Our portfolio of products includes merchant-facing solutions that aid our subscribed merchant partners in their sales operations. Southeast Asia is a highly dynamic market, where products have to react promptly to market trends and shifts, and where product managers and business leads need the flexibility to experiment and iterate fast. With that in mind, as the Sales team, we introduce and educate potential customers on how they can benefit by using our products.
One of the biggest obstacles our team has had to overcome is figuring out the most effective way to increase our standing in the market with our Point of Sales solutions. After many weeks of research, collaboration, and trial and error, we figured out that the best way to tackle this issue was to pour a bulk of our effort into acquiring more merchant partners in various industries, leveraging heavily on the Gojek ecosystem as a whole.
We’re a highly flexible team with a target-driven mindset. We manage our own work hours, so long as we deliver the expected results on time. As a team, we enjoy working at cafes (when it’s safe to do so), learning from and about one another, and having fun all along the way.
